Pop-Up Ads and Our Apoplectic Pop Culture

A little ordinary madness to spice up your day? Just say, No thank you! Or, piss off, if you prefer

I despise pop-up ads - and the more intrusive, and "eye-catching", which is to say, aggressive, the more vile, and heinously obnoxious, and despicable they become. If you use one, fine, but please do tone it down a notch or two. People are already barraged thousands of times a day with other people, advertisers, governments and corporations, essentially screaming in their faces. Don't you do the same thing. Calm it down. Be polite, be courteous, be respectful - as much as possible, remembering that we are all human, and none of us are infallible or omniscient, yet at least; don't be overbearing or violently aggressive. If you're going to go for the jugular, save that for the evil and kleptocratic, corporate-fascist elite. Easy, Hoss. Easy does it. Not so loud and shrill, please. We have too much of that shit already. We should not relate to one another like neurotic preschoolers strung out on crack, shouting at each other at the top of our lungs.
